The Effects of the Problem |
The legal and regulatory issues created by the problem of pump station overflows are nothing short of immense. Aside from it being illegal to discharge untreated wastewater to the environment, strict fines and other penalties are being given to violators and stricter laws and penalties are being enacted to stop these conditions. These damages to the environment and associated fines have run into the millions of dollars and have continued for an extended period of time in all parts of the Country. |
The Solution |
The Wastewater Flow Control System known as the Tec a Pump, is a patented process that was developed specifically to solve all of the problems in pump operation previously outlined. It positively prevents CAVITATION and INEFFICIENT OPERATION of the pumps and motors. It prevents EXCESSIVE WEAR and PUMP STATION OVERFLOWS when properly applied. The device allows a pump sized for the Peak Flow Maximum Head Condition to be operated continuously at it's most efficient point regardless of pressure fluctuations in the discharge header. Any sized pump can now be used to insure sufficient flow output and discharge pressure capacity to pump more flow out of the station during worst case storm conditions than what is coming in to positively prevent a PUMP STATION OVERFLOW. |
Features |
*Can be used in all wastewater pumping applications with variable discharge heads *Eliminates the need for complex and expensive variable speed drives *Easy to install in new or existing stations *Does not effect existing controls *Extends pump and motor life *Assists in compliance with the Sanitary Sewer Overflow Regulations. (SSO) *Pump capacities can be increased in the field to handle changes in demand *Programmable to handle other complex hydraulic problems such as pressure surges *Wireless remote monitoring and control available as an option *Variety of materials available to suit specific needs for all types of liquids and slurrys *Can be configured for Surge and Pressure Control or Surge and Flow Control *Can be configured for Flow or Pressure Control alone *Reduces operation and maintenance costs *Generally only requires one unit to handle multiple pumps |
